Osteria Francescana – Modena

He recently won  The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Award 2016, which we talked about some time ago about another winner.

Even back then I wondered how important the environment was to guarantee a perfect global culinary experience.

In fact, I believe it is essential to provide the perfect aesthetic, design and comfort support for more than excellent food. And that’s why I got the curiosity to discover the interiors of the best restaurant in the world.

The project bears the signature of the architect Catia Baccolini, a Modena interior designer.

From these images, the environments are particularly sober and homogeneous.

The neutral colors of grays and hazelnuts are the backdrop to the splendid and very apt lighting by Davide Groppi.

Horizontal bands frame the ceilings, allowing the insertion of lighting and curtains, which are the only frivolous element of the whole.

The carpet evens out all the spaces and contributes to the sobriety that characterizes the restaurant.

We, therefore, have a perfect neutral canvas ready to host Massimo Bottura’s dishes.
